حزب الوحدة والديمقراطية — P.U.D
The Party of Unity and Democracy (حزب الوحدة والديمقراطية) is a Moroccan political party operating under Organic Law No. 29.11 on political parties, as amended and supplemented by Organic Law No. 54.25. Its updated statutes were adopted by the 5th National Congress, held on June 27, 2026 in Marrakech.
The party positions itself within the national democratic camp, committed to moderation, and open to all Moroccan women and men — including the community residing abroad — who wish to work through it toward establishing the rule of law and building the social state.
The party works to build a democratic society governed by justice and equality, by consecrating the rule of law and enabling all segments of society to actively participate in public life.
The party embraces the principle of gender parity and pays particular attention to integrating youth into its structures at every level — national, regional, and local.
Based on the political report of the 5th National Congress, the party's work in the coming period centers on four main pillars:
In a period marked by fast-moving economic and political challenges, the party is renewing its internal practice — strengthening internal democracy and developing the political and intellectual training of its members.
The party aims to practice an opposition that offers alternatives rather than slogans, defends stability and reform together, and links social demands to democratic reform.
The party is shaping a new societal project built on the rule of law and institutions, social justice, sustainable development, and a careful balance between freedom and stability.
The party gives particular importance to the file of Moroccans residing abroad, who number more than five million, calling for simplified investment procedures and new forms of political participation — while reaffirming its commitment to national sovereignty and the territorial integrity of the Kingdom.
